Bill's Closes Up Shop

Nashville Restaurants and Food
Bill's Closes up Shop

Bill's Catifsh on Clarksville Highway in Joelton has closed. It's been a popular location for crispy fish and heavenly hush puppies for several years, so the closing came as a bit of a surprise. The folks answering the phone at the restaurant tell us that Bill is getting out of the business for personal reasons. A woman who worked at the restaurant, Marcella, plans to reopen soon under the name Marcy's Restaurant. They say the menu will be much the same as before. They hope to be up and running by December 4. We wish Bill the best and we will update the blog once we have had the opportunity to check out the fish at the new joint.

noooooooooooooooooooooooo

I worked at Bill's when it was still in Ashland City during college and I still dream about those hush puppies. Hands down, the best I've ever had. We just tried to eat there a few weeks ago on the way to Clarksville and hit them about fifteen minutes after closing time. So, so, so sad.

It's quite out-of-the-way for me, but I've eaten there quite a few times. Bill's FRIED CHICKEN actually stole the show. EXCELLENT hush puppies, yeah! All of the vegetable side dishes were great. I hope Marcella is as good...and I hope Bill's ok. Nice guy.

Oh sad story! They have to close the restaurant for some reason. Hope the food to be served will still be the same when it will be reopened.
